They do an excellent mint hot chocolate here. Highly recommended just for that experience. Otherwise it's a small coffee shop run by some lovely ladies serving pastries to compliment your hot drink.
I love this place and come all the time. The food is great and lovely atmosphere - but in the dozens of times Ive been my order has almost always been mixed up in some way or completely forgotten. The system for serving food really needs some attention. Wifi is also very unpredictable and drops out a lot which is frustrating.
Ive often fallen in love with coffee shops, becoming a dedicated customer but then all too often, 1 bad coffee turns into many bad coffees and I end up looking else where. Well, its been a solid year and I have never had a single bad coffee at Appestat. The coffee is delicious and easily the best coffee Ive ever had. The owner is an absolute delight too; a really warm and welcoming person. Clearly she pours her heart and soul into her little gem of a place. Highly recommend
Partner and I both agreed that the ham and cheese croissant here is the best we have ever tried! Delicious food, good coffee and a lovely atmosphere. Perfect place to study, if you can find a space, especially the seat by the window at the back facing a pretty little garden. Nice staff as well.
I visited Appestat with a friend on a recent trip to Angel Islington London. We were drawn to it as it is very similar to my friends cafe in Saddleworth. The vibe was fabulous. The staff were very welcoming, the art on the walls adds warmth. We shared a piece of vegan Guinness cake....it was scrumptious & hit the spot. The coffee was very good, with a choice of non dairy milk too. Thank you for making us feel welcome.
